Welcome To PushBackNoise.com Minimize

If you are visiting this website, you may be thinking about a retirement home.  Look no further.  Here at River Landing, you pay no taxes.  You let everyone else pay while you get a free ride.

River Landing is run by dishonest people who lie under oath.  Now isn't it a comforting feeling to know that if you choose River Landing, your life is in the hands of these same people?  Cheaters and liers?  Ask Bill Pleasants and Tom Smith. Are you sure River Landing is the place for you?

Once you put down that real-l-l-ly large sum of money, there is no going b-a-a-ck.  Better think about it.  There are places much nicer than River Landing.  Why would you choose these bozos?

If the management at River Landing lies under oath, and they do, don't think for a minute that they won't lie to you to get your money.  Then when they do, you are stuck.

If you doubt, look under the "Photos" tab and select "Another Side of the Story: Rip-off River Landing."  The story here is that this resident was told that the natural area behind his cottage would remain natural.  It did not.  In fact, River Landing planned all along to clear that area.  Don't believe everything you are told.

Better be careful!!!!!  The best advice is look somewhere else.  All River Landing wants is your money.

Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

This website is dedicated to every person who has ever had a problem with a neighbor; dedicated to the struggle between ordinary people and the powerful; dedicated to taxpayers whose tax burdens are greater because others operate tax free; and dedicated to those who were not able to fight their cause in the courts because the cost was beyond their means.

"Every great cause begins as a movement, degenerates into a business and ends up as a racket."

                                                                                        Eric Hoffman, Longshoreman and Philosopher

When we were young, we attended church every Sunday without fail.  Vacation Bible School was a wonderful experience each summer.

The purpose for attending church was to hear the "Word of God", to honor the Commandment "Remember the Sabbath and Keep it Holy", and to read and study the Bible in an effort to live a righteous life.  All of this was done to save our souls from hell.

We did not hear about cultural issues from our preacher, there was no talk of politics from the pulpit, there was no "pop" music played in order to attract a young audience, and there was only one musical instrument in the church, a piano.

There weren't any nonprofits, and there was no talk of ways to win grants.  There was no discussion of return on investments.  Our church's response to that would have been:  What investments?  The word "mega" was never attached to the word church.  On any given Sunday, other than Easter,  there may have been 150 members attending.

We found no need for a lobbyist to lobby members of the legislature in Raleigh, NC or Washington, D.C. or anywhere else.  In fact, we would have been perplexed at the thought of engaging something so secular as a lobbyist.

Why have things changed so drastically in such a short period of time?  Arrogance, greed and selfishness. Churches and nonprofits have become big business.  The amount of money flowing through these businesses is enormous.  And all of it escapes taxes:  money, land and other property.

Does money laundering go on in houses of worship and in nonprofits?  What better place to set up an operation? Taxes don't have to be paid.  A simple form is sent annually to the IRS.

Churches and nonprofits are buying up land for expansion.  Every purchase takes the property out of the tax base.  Is this fair to the public at large?  Churches are not expanding just their sanctuaries, but expanding for other purposes.  And many of these expansions are done with disregard for neighbors.  If anyone criticizes, then that person is viewed as a troublemaker, nonreligious and a heretic.  This is to marginalize that person and to keep people from bringing the discussion forward.

Before something becomes superfluous, it goes through several stages: primitive, utilitarian, and finally an ornamental figment.  Where are houses of worship and nonprofits today?
